Mentos Mo’Fresh Larger than Life – Terms and Conditions

  1. The Organisers: The organiser of this competition is Perfetti Van Melle South Africa (Pty) Ltd., the distributor of Mentos, and/or its designated agencies, collectively referred to as “the Organisers”.
  2.  Agreement to Rules: By entering the competition and/or accepting a prize, all entrants agree to be bound by the terms and conditions below (“Rules”).
  3. Competition Period: The competition will run from 18 November 2025 to 15 December at 23:59 SAST. No entries submitted after this period will be valid.
  4. Eligibility: To qualify as an entrant in the competition, you must be a citizen or a permanent resident of South Africa, currently residing in South Africa, and be 18 years or older at the date of entry. The Organisers, their directors, members, partners, employees, agents, consultants, any supplier of goods and services in connection with the competition, and their spouses, life partners, parents, children, or siblings are not eligible to participate in or enter the competition. No entry is valid until a validation process has taken place.
  5. How to Enter: To enter, entrants must follow the competition mechanics:

    3. Follow Us: Follow our page on TikTok, Facebook or Instagram.
    The Prize: The prize consists of four (4) Mentos product hamper valued at R500.00, one (1) per Mentos Social pages listed above. There are four (4) opportunities to win the prize during the month of November. 1 prize per person across the Social pages. The prize is not transferable, and no cash alternative will be offered.

  6. Winner Selection and Notification:
    a) Four (4) winners will be selected via a random draw from all valid entries received per platform (1 on the MentosSA Facebook Page, 1 on the Mentos South Africa Facebook page, 1 on the mentosza Instagram Page and 1 on the mentos_sa TikTok Page).
    b) The winners will be notified via a direct message on the platform they used to enter (Facebook Messenger, Instagram Direct Message or on TikTok) within 30 working days of the competition closing date.
    c) The winner’s name may also be announced on the Mentos South Africa social media accounts.
    d) If, after 2 working days of being notified, the Organisers have not been able to successfully contact a prize winner, that prize winner will forfeit the prize, and the Organisers reserve the right to select a substitute winner in their place.
    Prize Delivery: To receive their prize, the winner must provide a valid South African delivery address and any other details required by the Organisers. The prize will be dispatched to the winner within 14-21 working days of the winner claiming their prize. The prize will be delivered via a suitable delivery service, such as Uber Courier services or similar.

    a) The Organisers’ decision is final, and no correspondence will be entered into.

    c) The Organisers reserve the right to cancel or amend the competition and these Rules without notice in the event of any unforeseen circumstances or any actual or anticipated breach of any applicable law or regulation.
  9. License to Use Submitted Content
    By submitting any content (including but not limited to photos, videos, texts, or other materials) in connection with this Contest, each participant hereby grants to the Organiser a free, worldwide, perpetual, irrevocable, non-exclusive, transferable and sublicensable license to use, reproduce, display, modify, adapt, publish and distribute such content in any media, for promotional, advertising, commercial or any other lawful purposes, without any compensation beyond participation in the Contest.
    The participant warrants that the submitted content is original, does not infringe any third-party rights, IP rights comprehended, and that he/she has obtained all necessary authorizations from any persons appearing in the content.
  10. Personal Information and POPIA Compliance
    By entering the Contest, participants acknowledge that their personal information (including images, names, voice, social media handles and any other information allowing identification) may be processed by the Organiser for the purposes of administering the Contest and for promotional and marketing activities as described above.
    The Organiser undertakes to process personal information in compliance with the Protection of Personal Information Act, 2013 (“POPIA”), ensuring that the data will be collected and used lawfully, transparently, and for the purposes explicitly stated herein.
    Participants expressly consent to such processing of their personal information by accepting these Rules. Consent may be withdrawn at any time by contacting the Organiser at www.mentos.co.za/contact-us, it being understood that such withdrawal shall not affect the lawfulness of processing carried out before such withdrawal.
  11. Third-Party Rights
    If the submitted content includes personal information of third parties (such as images or voices of friends, family members or other individuals), the participant is solely responsible for obtaining the necessary permissions and consents from such individuals, and shall hold the Organiser harmless from any claims or complaints arising therefrom.
